Millennium Tower II is a Class-A office building in Budapest, forming part of the prestigious Millennium City Centre development on the Danube embankment. Designed under the leadership of architect Sándor Dúzs, the Lead Architect of Schon Architects and ArkTOON Architects - predecessor of Duzs and Partners Pty Ltd (MSK Architects).
The office towers reflect the flowing character of the river with its travertine slab edges and wave-like expansive glass façades and metal roof. Together with its neighbour, Millennium Tower III, the building establishes a strong architectural ensemble along the Danube.
The building features an innovative, intelligent custom-designed climate-façade - the triple glazed façade system provides a walkable maintenance thermal-buffer layer behind the external glazing, which accommodates the automatically operated 80mm louvre system, and the sensor controlled cross-ventilation adjusting single louvre. This innovative facade provides an air buffer at wintertime, and a ventilated "chilled" shading layer during summer.
Completed in 2008, Millennium Tower II delivers approximately 20,000 m² of premium office space across eight levels above ground, supported by three levels of underground parking. Large, efficient floorplates of 2,200–2,500 m² allow flexible workplace layouts, maximising daylight and creating bright, healthy interiors for tenants.
Beyond its workspaces, the building integrates key amenities, including a restaurant and café with terrace, a fitness centre, and a medical facility, enhancing everyday life for employees and visitors. Its location within the Millennium City Centre provides excellent public transport access, while nearby cultural landmarks such as the Palace of Arts (Müpa) and the National Theatre enrich the urban context.
Millennium Tower II remains one of Budapest’s leading business addresses, representing Sandor's - and MSK Architects’ - commitment to designing workplaces that balance functionality, elegance, and urban identity, not only in Australia, but also overseas.
