The Hills Christian Life Centre marked a pivotal moment in the growth of what would later become Hillsong Church’s Norwest campus. Situated prominently at the corner of Norwest Boulevard and Solent Circuit in Baulkham Hills, the $6 million development represented the organisation’s first major purpose-built facility in the Hills District.

MSK Architects were engaged to undertake the full architectural scope of the project — including design development, documentation, and construction administration — working in close collaboration with specialist consultants. The traditional procurement and design philosophy adopted for the project ensured clarity of vision, disciplined documentation, and strong coordination across all disciplines.

The completed Ministry Centre provided a permanent, purpose-designed environment for worship, administration, and church ministry functions. The facility responded to the client’s need for:

  • Dedicated congregational gathering space
  • Ministry and administrative areas
  • Functional support spaces aligned with church operations
  • A civic presence appropriate to its growing regional role

The project was delivered on time and on budget, with improved finishes beyond base expectations. Client feedback formally acknowledged that the building not only met all specified criteria but exceeded expectations in its execution and outcome

This building laid the foundation for the subsequent expansion of Hillsong’s Norwest campus and played a formative role in establishing the church’s long-term presence within the business park precinct.
